America the Beautiful: A Community Art Exhibition

In celebration of America 250, the Heartland Art Center invites artists and community members of all ages to participate in America the Beautiful, a special community exhibition exploring what the beauty of America means through art, creativity, history, landscape, culture, community, and personal experience.

This open call exhibition welcomes participation from Marshall County and surrounding communities and encourages a wide range of artistic interpretations that celebrate the spirit, people, places, and stories that shape America.

The exhibition will open June 30 at the historic Historic Downtown Fire Station in downtown Plymouth, the oldest standing fire station in the State of Indiana. The exhibit space itself serves as a meaningful backdrop for this celebration, honoring both creativity and the preservation of our shared history. Depending on participation, additional downtown Plymouth locations may also be utilized to showcase community artwork.

A public reception celebrating the exhibition will take place during the 11th Annual ARTS in the Street Festival on Saturday, July 25.
